At the end of every year we have a theatre banquet to celebrate all of the wonderful shows we did and to award scholarships and awards. At the end of my freshman year, I had stage managed 4 out of the 5 studio theatre shows. I received the Outstanding Female Contribution to Studio Theatre Award. I was sooo excited!

Lost in Yonkers

I was the Charge Scenic Artist for a show we put on at my college. That means I got to paint every single piece of scenery on that stage. We painted every single floor board, every single rose on that wall and every single brick. I had some help of course, but it took a long time!

Belts, belts, and more belts!

Did you know you can make belts out of gum wrappers, Starburst wrappers, and soda tabs?! Well you can and I did!

Here is a video on how to make a soda tab bracelet.

Here is a great website to show you how to make your own Starburst bracelet. http://fluffyland.com/blog/index.php/starburst-wrapper-bracelet-tutorial/

iEl Treeman!

My brother, Kyle, was bored last year so he cut down the tree in the back of our driveway... My dad thought it would be fun to carve something into the trunk. He got me really excited to do it and then said it would be too hard... So after multiple times of begging; we finally did it! He thought he could carve an owl into it, but we ended up doing a face. His name is Chaz Woodside!!

Dorm Decorations

I also hung this flower thing on my door.
I covered it in different patterns of fabric.

Cappies Gala

The Cappies, "Critics and Awards Program," is a program through which high school theater and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers like The Washington Post, Cincinnati Enquirer, Dallas Morning News, Kansas City Star, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. At the end of the year, the student critics vote for awards that are presented at a formal Cappies Gala. In July and August, many of the top award honorees from around the U.S. and Canada are invited to participate in the Cappies International Theater, where they perform shows at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Baccalaureate Cappies award
Every year, my high school was involved with the Cappies. My senior year, our fall play from the year before was nominated for best stage crew. I was the Stage manager for The Man Who Came to Dinner. We won! The sucky thing was that I didn't even go up and receive the award. I was at the Baccalaureate Mass/Dinner/Awards for my high school. We left early just so we could get to the gala in time. Well it was farther away than we thought and we were late. My friend and I changed out of one dress into another formal dress in the car on the way there. We went to the bathroom when we got there and my friend told me that I had won the award. I was literally 5 minutes late. Apparently, two other nominees from my school went up for me and got the award.
